Returns & Exchanges

Product Color & Appearance

Please note that the colors, textures, and patterns displayed on your screen may vary slightly from the actual product due to differences in monitor settings, lighting conditions, photography, and device displays. Such variations are natural and do not constitute a product defect.

To ensure complete transparency, Cottage Rugs & Living records and shares a video of your ordered product during the quality inspection, sorting, packing, and shipping process. This video serves as proof of the product's condition and appearance before dispatch.

Return & Exchange Eligibility

We accept returns and exchanges only in cases where the carpet or rug has been delivered in a damaged condition.
Returns or exchanges will not be accepted for:

  • Color variations between on-screen images and the actual product.
  • Minor differences in texture, weave, or appearance resulting from the handmade nature of many products.
  • Change of mind or personal preference after delivery.
  • Incorrect product selection by the customer.
  • Customized, personalized, made-to-order, or handmade products unless received in a damaged condition.

Reporting Damaged Products

If you receive a damaged carpet or rug, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery by emailing our customer support team with:

  • Order number
  • Photographs of the damaged product
  • Photographs of the packaging
  • A brief description of the damage

Upon verification, we will arrange for a replacement or exchange of the damaged item.

Return Authorization

All return requests must be approved by our customer support team before any product is returned. Returns sent without prior authorization may be refused.

Once your request is approved, we will provide detailed instructions for the return process.

Refunds & Replacements

After inspection and verification of the returned damaged item, Cottage Rugs & Living will offer either:

  • A replacement of the same product, subject to availability, or
  • A refund of the product value if a replacement cannot be provided.

Shipping, handling charges, customs duties, and other related costs are non-refundable unless the damage is determined to have occurred before delivery.

Custom & Handmade Products

Customized, personalized, handmade, and made-to-order products are manufactured specifically for each customer and therefore cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded once production has commenced, except in cases of transit damage or manufacturing defects.
